Within just 50 KM of Tigh Tasgaidh self catering in Dornie, by Kyle of Lochalsh, there are castles galore, glorious gardens, delicious dining establishments, marvellous Munros and mountains to climb, explore, or just relax.  Our area is spectacular and is a photographer or artist's paradise and there is a beautiful beach just 20 minutes drive away.Just click the map to the right to see our exact location.  The list below contains some great information about local attractions.

The most scenic of Scotland's castles, the original Eilean Donan was built around 1230. Once with Spanish troops and destroyed by British frigates, it was rebuilt in the early 20th Century.
